Our location in Fernie, BC is currently looking for a Carpenter to join their team.
Work location: various locations in Fernie, Sparwood, Elkford, including local mines.
Benefits:
- Salary: $38.00 / Hour for 40 Hours / Week

Qualifications:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience.
- Accurate, team player, client focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
Job Duties:
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Survey building locations and levels
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
Work Setting: Various locations, construction, renovation, commercial, industrial, institutional, residential
Work Site Environment: At heights, confined spaces, noisy, dusty, outdoors
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling; combination of sitting, standing, walking; handling heavy loads; large workload; physically demanding; tight deadlines; work with minimal supervision.
