Description

The Property Housekeeping and Groundskeeping worker performs routine housekeeping cleaning duties for the LWDH accommodation units, as well as light groundskeeping of rental locations grounds. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Strategy and Innovation, the Housekeeping and Groundskeeping Worker works independently, traveling to the LWDH rental unit locations, performing required duties, and ensuring the units are prepped and ready for the incoming guests, strictly adhering to deadlines according to the booking schedule. NOTE: this position does not involve repair or complex maintenance duties.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Providing cleaning services to LWDH accommodation units (apartments and houses) including but not limited to clean, mop, scrub, sweep, vacuum, dust, laundry, restock sundry items in units, etc.
  • Follow light or deep cleaning routine as outlined in work schedules
  • Follow all universal precautions, hospital policies and procedures and use personal protective equipment as required while cleaning
  • Follow waste management schedules including recycling and garbage disposal
  • Dust, mop, or vacuum floors and carpets
  • Clean and disinfect living areas, kitchens and bathrooms
  • Clean blinds/drapes with damp cloth or vacuum
  • Complete housekeeping assignments within the time allotted
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities as required to improve the environment for LWDH locums, learners, and visitors
  • Perform light building and grounds maintenance as assigned. (e.g. picking up garbage, sweep the walkways/entrance ways, light walkway shoveling in winter as needed)
  • Prep locations for incoming guests with required materials and promotional information as directed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Strategy and Innovation

 

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with housekeeping/cleaning practices, supplies and equipment
  • Working knowledge of accepted procedures and safety practices of light groundskeeping work
  • Ability to safely use cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment
  • Ability to safely use groundskeeping equipment
  • Ability to account for inventory and accurately complete checklists and forms
  • Ability to follow simple oral and written directions
  • Willingness to work outside during inclement weather
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reliable attendance record
