Quotation Specialist / Estimator

We are one of the largest independent contractors of Plumbing and HVAC services in Alberta, and have been in the industry for more than 65 years.

We are currently in need of a Quotation Specialist/Estimator in our Water and Plumbing division to work in-office at our facility in Calgary, Alberta.

What’s the job about?

• Work with various stakeholders to identify construction costs of the division’s various contracts by analyzing labor, materials, and time requirements for new construction of homes.
• Work with different computer software / programs needed in budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing data as well as using websites of builders to generate information on the project requirements.
• Research current information from builder, wholesaler, and vendor websites.
• Professional communicate and facilitate a cohesive working relationship with counterparts throughout the industry.
• The position is part of a team and as such, relies heavily on supporting the groups success with timely and open communication.
• Contribute to daily workloads and share information to ensure a gratifying work environment.
• Full-time on-site role

What do you need to have?

• Proficiency in estimation software and tools
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of construction materials and processes
• Experience in the construction industry is an asset
• Certification in estimation or related field is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable transportation to work
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
