Shipper/Receiver

Infra Pipe Solutions has over 60 years of experience specializing in the design, manufacture, and custom fabrication of engineered polyethylene systems for water, wastewater, and storm water management applications.  Infra Pipe offers its clients full service engineering support in the design and manufacture of custom systems to meet their project’s specific requirements.

Infra Pipe is currently looking for energetic and qualified individuals, to work as Shipper/Receiver in our Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Shipping Department.  The responsibilities of this role include the loading/unloading of tractor trailers, processing orders for shipment, and inventory counts as required.  This individual must have previous experience with operating heavy equipment (large wheel loaders or fork trucks).

WE REQUIRE:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience,
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions,
• Previous forklift experience is required, with preference given to those who have operated 20,000 – 30,000 lb forklifts,
• Valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record,
• Experience with FIFO inventory management and scan gun technology is an asset,
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly,
• Experience using hand and power tools for packaging of products.

MAIN TASKS ARE:

• Sort, package, and load finished product onto flatbed trucks,
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by inspecting and counting/measuring materials,
• Ensure accuracy of shipments and timely delivery of materials,
• Organize and maintain stock in assigned locations,
• Assist with periodic inventory checks in the shipping area,
• Transport materials within the facility, including starter pipe and other supplies,
• Prepare shipments by pulling, assembling, palletizing, stretch wrapping, packaging, and labeling product.    

WE OFFER:

• Starting wage of $19.75 per hour.
• $2,000.00 Signing and retention bonus; $1,000.00 payable after 6 months’ continuous employment and another $1,000.00 payable after 1 full year of continuous employment.
